a coffee perfection - how to guide
It’s easy when you understand your coffee…
Using a Cafetiere is simple, and a great idea for entertaining. We suggest using one rounded desert spoon of coffee per serving. Here, our coffee perfectionists run the tap for a few seconds before filling the kettle, to get the water as cool as possible and maximise the oxygen content in the water – believe it or not, this actually improves the flavour of coffee!
Once your water has boiled, count to ten, then pour into the Cafetiere – boiling water can scald the coffee and spoil the taste. Give it a little stir to disturb the coffee, and let stand for three to five minutes – the longer it’s left, the stronger your coffee – press the plunger down and serve.
